Description
The bowl is mirror-polished and round — the same clean form found across the collection. What changes here is the handle. Rather than left smooth, the steel has been worked by hand with a hammer, leaving a surface of subtle, irregular facets that catch light differently at every angle. It is the same material as every other piece in the collection — and an entirely different experience of it.
A small but significant decision in the making process: to add time, to add labour, to add texture where a plain surface would have been easier. Made by artisans of Pilimathalawa, Kandy, where that kind of decision is understood as craft rather than extra effort.
Each piece is finished by hand. Variation in the hammered surface between pieces is intentional — no two handles will be identical.
