Description
A bottle opener is not usually an object you think about. This one is. The opener head is mirror-polished and precisely formed; the handle is slim, cylindrical, and darkened through oxidisation — the same surface treatment that defines the Oxidised Handle Dessert Spoon. Together they make a piece that belongs on a bar tray or a kitchen shelf as much as it belongs in a drawer.
Made by artisans of Pilimathalawa, Kandy, who apply the same discipline to a bottle opener as to any piece in the collection. Because the object you reach for every day deserves the same consideration as the one you bring out for guests.
Each piece is finished by hand. Natural variation in the oxidised surface is characteristic of the process — no two handles will be identical.
